The “Insideout” multimedia installation, created by Scottish artist Leigh Sachwitz, is a 360-degree immersive experience designed to place visitors inside a house shaped by the forces of nature. Presented during Dubai Art Week, the installation combined projection, sound, and spatial storytelling to create a fully enveloping environment.
Inspired by the life and works of Frida Kahlo and her house “Casa Azul”, the experience blended visual and audio elements into a cohesive narrative. Visitors were immersed in a dynamic audiovisual environment, enhanced by surround sound and large-scale projections mapped across the structure.

BeWunder delivered the audio and video systems for the installation, supporting both the design phase and on-site implementation.
The scope included the integration of a 360-degree projection setup using multiple high-output projectors, enabling full coverage across the roof and surrounding walls. Audio systems were implemented as a surround configuration, with loudspeakers positioned to create an immersive 4.1 sound environment.
All systems were coordinated and integrated to operate as a unified setup, ensuring synchronisation between projection and sound and delivering a consistent immersive experience for visitors.
