On 26 March 2022, the Dubai World Cup returned to Meydan Racecourse, hosting one of the most prestigious international horse races with a prize purse of USD 12 million. For the first time since 2019, the event welcomed nearly 40,000 visitors from around the world, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading destination for global sporting events.
Alongside the race, the event featured a full programme of entertainment, including the Style Stakes fashion event, closing ceremony fireworks and a large-scale after-race concert featuring Rudimental and Becky Hill. The concert formed a key highlight of the evening, bringing together live performance and production at scale.

BeWunder delivered the technical setup for the after-race concert at the Apron at Meydan, working closely with The Dubai Girl, Dubai Racing Club and all involved stakeholders to realise the live performance environment.
The scope included the design and installation of audio, video and lighting systems for the concert, supporting both the live performances and the overall audience experience. A custom stage environment was developed in coordination with AES, ensuring that the physical setup aligned with the technical and performance requirements.
In addition to the main systems, BeWunder coordinated multiple third-party elements, including camera systems and special effects such as lasers, COâ‚‚ and flame units, integrating them into the overall production setup.
The delivery required detailed planning and precise on-site execution to manage the scale of the event and ensure a seamless experience for both performers and audience.
