OPAL MANNHEIM

Overview:

On 12 October 2024, OPAL, the Opera at Luisenpark, was inaugurated as the temporary venue for opera and dance in Mannheim’s eastern district. At the heart of the complex is a lightweight hall covering an area of 2,431 sqm, which, after its use as a temporary venue for the National Theatre Mannheim, can be dismantled and repurposed.

Scope:

BeWunder team was assigned to perform various AVL solutions including adaptable work and audience lighting, high-fidelity sound and monitoring systems featuring Vivace reverberation technology, and a comprehensive digital intercom system. Additionally, the installation boasts an advanced stage management system integrated with safety features, robust IT networking, and an extensive patch box infrastructure to provide versatile connectivity throughout the theatre.
