The Portal – Area 15
AREA15 is a purpose-built immersive entertainment concept, with its pop-up venue at Boulevard World in Riyadh forming part of Riyadh Season. The experience brings together interactive installations, live performances, and digital artworks within a highly immersive environment.
At the centre of the activation is The Portal, a fully projection-mapped venue hosting concerts, immersive shows, and large-scale digital art installations. The space features continuous projections across walls and floors, creating a fully enveloping visual environment supported by high-performance media systems.
In addition to The Portal, the project also included a standalone projection-mapped art installation, contributing to the wider immersive experience of the venue.

BeWunder delivered the video and projection systems for both The Portal and the standalone art installation, including large-scale projection mapping across walls, floors, and sculptural surfaces.
The Portal environment was driven by high-output projection systems, with content distributed through advanced media servers and supported by additional storage infrastructure to handle large-format media playback.
In parallel, a separate installation involved mapping projection onto a physical sculpture, requiring precise alignment and calibration to ensure accurate visual representation across complex geometry.
The delivery required close coordination between technical teams and project partners to ensure seamless integration of projection, media playback, and content across multiple environments within the venue.
