Pavilion
The Germany Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka explores the concept of a circular economy under the title “Wa! Germany.” The name draws from three meanings of the Japanese word “Wa”: circle (輪), harmony (和), and wonder (わ), reflecting the pavilion’s core message of sustainable cycles, collaboration, and innovation.
Designed as an immersive and educational journey, the pavilion invites visitors to explore how circular systems can shape a more sustainable future. Through a sequence of interactive spaces and experiences, complex topics such as resource cycles, environmental responsibility, and technological innovation are translated into accessible and engaging formats.
The architectural and exhibition concept creates a continuous flow, guiding visitors through interconnected environments that mirror the principles of circularity. By combining storytelling, participation, and multisensory experiences, the pavilion encourages visitors to rethink how materials, energy, and ideas can be reused and regenerated.
