The Luxembourg Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka was built around the theme “Doki Doki,” a Japanese expression describing the sound of a beating heart. The concept reflected excitement, anticipation, and emotional engagement, shaping the visitor journey throughout the space.

The exhibition translated this idea into a sequence of immersive environments where rhythm, light, and media created a dynamic and evolving experience. The pavilion combined storytelling and technology to evoke a sense of curiosity and discovery, guiding visitors through moments of interaction and reflection.

BeWunder delivered the multimedia and lighting systems for the pavilion, ensuring alignment between the technical implementation and the experiential concept.

The scope included the integration of audio systems, video systems, lighting systems, media servers and playback, show control systems, and event IT networks, creating a coordinated technical environment across the exhibition.

A key element of the project was the development and delivery of custom LED screens, designed and manufactured to meet the specific spatial and visual requirements of the pavilion. These bespoke solutions played a central role in shaping the visual identity and rhythm of the experience.

BeWunder also supported the project through value engineering, optimising the system design to align with budget requirements while maintaining the intended quality and impact of the pavilion.
